The Department of Education and Culture manages and develops all the skills, which in education are entrusted with the municipalities that although current law does not give municipalities the status of educational administration, it recognizes and commends them educational tasks: Provision of land, facilities maintenance, monitoring, however involved in education beyond the best of their own competencies, promoting educational plans and programs geared to the needs and demands of citizens.
- Cooperation in the planning and management of educational facilities needs studies, land transfer, cooperation in the management of buildings.- Cooperation in the conservation, maintenance and monitoring facilities, Primary and Special Education.
- Regulating the use of the premises and facilities for public schools, outside school hours.
- Cooperation in the enforcement of compulsory education, providing information, putting in knowledge gaps, to cooperate in the distribution of students, contributing to the effective assistance of it.
- Cooperation in providing quality educational services and activities or services:
- Early childhood education.
- Follow-up and out.
- School meals service.
Participation in management bodies of educational institutions such as School Boards, Commission of schooling, etc .-
